Never Bet the RunLine on a home MLB team

Sometimes betting the Runline is a favorable option in a “lopsided” MLB game.  When I look at a heavy MLB favorite I just cringe at betting a team to win at -180 or something.  I mean win 80 cents to my dollar?  UCK.  So lots of times if a team is that much better, you could bet the -1.5 bet and make it a +100 bet or something.  Well, I’m here to tell you that betting the runline on the HOME team is foolish.  Think about it.  If a baseball game is close, lets say tied, going into the later innings.  The home team bats last and as soon as they score that winning run – the game is over.  This happens way more often than you would think.  The home team ends up winning by 1 run and you and your runline are screwed.  Despite the home team still having bases loaded or men on base – doesn’t matter – games over.

Now if you bet the runline on the Away team, they can continue piling on runs in the later innings.  Much more attractive of a bet.  So remember this next time you think that runline looks like  a good bet.  Don’t do it on the home MLB team!

5 Reason to Never Bet on Fridays

1. Never bet on Fridays because odd things happen in Major League Baseball. Seriously though. It never fails, I win ALL week – but every freakin Friday I lose a ton on Friday. Pitchers that usually are solid – suck. Teams make dumb errors. It all goes bad. Just resist betting on MLB on Fridays.

2. Never bet NCAA Hoops on Fridays. Why? Because it’s all stinking Ivy League games. College basketball is one of the most fun sports to bet on. I really enjoy it all week long and Saturdays are just unreal. But Fridays are such a huge dissappointment. I always have the thirst to make some good bets on Friday night and I’m always stuck with Penn, Yale and Cornell. Fun times there. Oh yeah, and I always lose those darn Ivy League bets.

3. Never bet on Fridays because you have better things to do! At least I hope you do. Spend Friday night with your family and take your mind off of betting. There are plenty of games Saturday and Sunday to fulfill your need. Go out, have a few drinks and rest up for betting the rest of the weekend away.

4. Never bet on Fridays because there is No NFL! Honestly, why would you ever bet anything else? Football (NFL) rules the world. Everything else is just foreplay.

5. Never bet on Fridays because of Friday the 13th. It’s an unlucky day. Friday is historically the most unlucky day of the week. Why would you risk your roll on such a bad day? Huh? Ok, a bit of a stretch here but I needed 5 things.

Never bet on the National League

Good lord. Some believe in streaks are made to be broken.  I’m one of them.  Yeah, the American League had won like 10 straight All-Star games… They are BOUND to lose, right?  WRONG!  I bet the National League again (3rd year in a row) this year just because I think they have to win sometime.  And they lost again.  Eleven in a row now for the American League squad.  Border-line ridiculous if you ask me.  So lesson learned, just never bet on the National League and definitely don’t bet someone JUST BECAUSE they should win sooner or later.  Out!

Now this is just an example, but when you get the feeling that this is a SURE BET, a NO LOSE BET, a NO-BRAINER… Well, we want you to bet the opposite!  Or at least don’t bet it.  Time and time again these situations have burnt us and it’s time to stop.  At NeverBetOn.us we will identify these types of bets and track how they do.  Hopefully this will save us and you money in the long run.
